Mark Crombie is not only available for stage and studio recordings, but Mark also provides guitar lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced-level students. From technique, to music theory, from rhythm guitar to lead guitar, and the exercises that get you there, all guitar lessons are an invaluable dedication required of any guitar player. With Mark's lessons helping the growth and education of his students, young and old alike, Mark works at helping guitar players grow, improve and hone their own skills. Based on his own abilities, talents and real-world experience, Mark Crombie provides guitar lessons for those in search of the same, in the pursuit of their own musical dreams and goals.
Beginner-Level Guitar Lessons:
The beginning student will learn the basics of the instrument from tuning the guitar to guitar care. Musically the student will learn the chords needed to play the songs in their favorite genre and the why behind the them. The idea is to lay a foundation for the student to advance and be able to play what they want on their instrument. We will also install and train basic music theory so the student has an
understanding to build for learning songs on their own, writing their own music and being able to converse with other musicians.
Intermediate-Level Guitar Lessons:
As with any skill – the more you know the more you find out you don’t know. For the intermediate player we will delve in technique, more advanced theory, improvisation and creativity. The student can choose to focus on solo technique and creativity to the theory behind it. We can also hone skills for creating your own music from riff and song writing to recording techniques and beyond.
Advanced-Level Guitar Lessons:
For the advanced student Mark serves more as a coach than trainer in this capacity, The student can pick areas to focus on and Mark will bring his 30 plus years experience on the instrument from studio to stage to help the advanced player improve in areas of their choice. This can be an excellent path for a
player who has reached a plateau or is trying to break through to a new level. The entire lesson path is determined by the student with Mark’s guidance and support.
Learn-by-the-Song, Guitar Lessons:
Learn by the song instruction provides the opportunity for the student to bring in their favorite songs to learn. After determining the previous-mentioned levels of musicianship and ability, Mark sits down one-on-one to focus on a particular song with the student and within the student's current capabilities.
